Privacy policy

Last updated October 31, 2026

ChaseIQ is a small project run by one collector. It collects as little as it can: an email and password if you make an account, and the breaks and settings you save. It doesn't show ads or sell your information.

Without an account

You can use ChaseIQ without signing up. Breaks and settings you save stay in your browser on that device (browser storage). They aren't sent to us.

With an account

When you make a free account, we keep:

We use this to run your account: keep your breaks on every device, send the emails you ask for, and show the features of your plan.

Payments

Paid plans aren't on sale yet. When they are, our payment provider will handle your card details under its own privacy policy, and we never see your full card number. We'll keep your plan, its dates and a record of each payment (amount, date, receipt), and the provider will tell us your country or province for tax.

Feedback

When you send feedback, we keep your message, your email, a reply-to address if you give one, and the page you were on. Only the owner reads it, to answer you and fix what's broken.

Emails

We send account emails you need: confirming your address and resetting your password. Everything else (break guides, ChaseIQ news) is only sent if you tick it in Settings or at sign-up. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off in Settings any time.

Visit counts

The website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: which pages are opened, the referring site, browser and country, as totals. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't follow you to other sites. The Mac app doesn't count visits.

Cookies and browser storage

ChaseIQ doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses browser storage on your device to keep your breaks and settings and to keep you signed in. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Services we use

These companies handle data for ChaseIQ. Some are in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed there, and US courts, police and government agencies may be able to get it under US law.

How we protect it

If there's ever a data breach that could seriously harm you, we'll tell you as soon as we can, and report it to the privacy commissioner as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Deleting it removes your account, saved breaks, player values, settings, feedback and share links straight away. Copies may stay in our providers' backups for a short time before they're gone. Payment records are the exception: Canadian tax law asks us to keep them for six years, even after an account is deleted.

Your choices

We answer requests within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

ChaseIQ isn't made for children under 13. If a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top first. Big changes, like starting paid plans, will be shown in the app too.

Who's responsible

ChaseIQ's owner is responsible for your information and for this policy. Questions, requests and complaints about your data: [email protected].
